| Bio: Lorna was born in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands and grew up in Hearne, Texas where you had plenty of time to dream big, and that's what she did. After graduating Magna Cum Laude from Texas Woman's University with an English degree, Lorna was accepted into the prestigious screen and television writing program, Act One. With her heart set on being a professional writer, she decided to move from Dallas, Texas to Los Angeles, California. Upon arrival in Los Angeles, Lorna immediately found work as a production assistant on the award winning hit show, The Bernie Mac Show. Afterwards she assisted famed novelist and playwright David Talbert, where she edited and punched up his novel, Love on the Dotted Line through publishing giant Simon and Schuster. She also polished the hit play, Love in the Nick of Time, which opened at the Kodak Theater.
But with an intense desire to learn the ins and outs of the television industry, Lorna returned to the small screen. Since then she has worked with talented individuals on the hit show Weeds; director's assistant to Mr. Rob Bowman and writer's assistant to Mr. Jeffrey Bell on Day Break; writer/producer's assistant to Robert and Michelle King creators of In Justice and the pilot Judy's Got a Gun. Lorna currently works under Charles Eglee, Executive Producer of The Shield. |
