who we are
BADD is a servant covenant group comprised of people whose primary purpose is to serve God and His church through the various talents of its members. We exist to enhance the weekly worship service, as well as the church at large, in whatever way the Pastors deem appropriate.
Specifically, BADD is responsible for putting up a video or sketch in front of the church about every other week. In addition, we also participate in the Christmas and/or Easter programs in some fashion and it's also our job to put up a few stage shows each year both at Bel Air and outside venues.who and what we are looking for
In general, we want committed, fun, friendly, talented people.
Specifically, we value two things above all else;
artistic excellence and spiritual depth.
Which loosely translated would mean; no rank amateurs or brand spanking new believers. In short, we're looking for people who have made Bel Air Presbyterian their home church, and who are tops in their craft and tight with the Lord.
To fulfill our varied tasks, we need Actors, Writers, Cinematographers/DPs, Editors, Hair/Make-Up Artists, Production Sound Mixers, Composers, ADs, Script Supervisors, Production Coordinators.
We like people who are team players, those who don't care whether they're in the spotlight or serving behind the scenes.
service
The final criterion for joining us is having a servant's heart. As such, each member is expected to use their talent and wisdom to help serve on at least one of the following committees: Writing, Production (Video/Stage Tech, Pre- and Post-Production), or Communications/Hospitality.
time commitment
The biggest chunk of time you'll be giving up will be when you're either cast in or asked to help produce a show. In all probability, this will be no more than a handful of times each year.
Your most regular time commitment will be attending our group meetings. On average, BADD meets on the first and third Monday nights of every month at 7:00 PM at Bel Air. Depending on scheduling or the needs of the group, this may be increased or decreased.
